My name is Leslie McCain, and I’m a Campus Program Coordinator for Alight Solutions. My passion is to bring mental health awareness to our employees, push for diversity and inclusion and to aid towards a great candidate experience. In my free time, I am a part-time makeup artist where I enjoy bringing my visions to life. I am from North Carolina and am a recent graduate of UNCG. I have started my professional career here with plans to continue growing at Alight!
Though I have only been at Alight for 5 months, I have felt nothing but support and care from my colleagues. What I love most about Alight is that everyone is very genuine and truly values the mental, emotional and physical health of others. Every day, people share positivity, empathy and compassion through their proactivity and by lending a helping hand.
One of my first projects at Alight was to create engaging sessions for our Ignite and Inspire early career development programs. This was a daunting task as I knew many eyes would be monitoring my ideas, progress and the success of the programs. My team recognized my hesitation and jumped right in to help me organize my session ideas. They encouraged me to believe in myself and to trust my intuition, which is important for any young professional. They made me feel seen, heard, and most importantly valued.
As the newly appointed Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) officer at Alight Solutions, Xan is charged with delivering on Alight’s promise, and her passion for progress shines through every day. She brings energy, commitment and a focus on outcomes to make Alight better.
Xan is responsible for building an I&D strategy to foster an inclusive culture, drive inclusive behaviors, and improve diverse representation across Alight’s global organization. In doing so she collaborates with the Integrated Talent Teams to develop strategies that attract, rise and retain diverse talent. She works with Talent to develop and deliver learning opportunities that build and reinforce the inclusive behaviors. In partnership with business leaders, she develops I&D plans for their respective businesses as well to track results over time. She serves as the nexus to the diverse community's Alight serves.
