As part of our Wireless Hardware group, you'll be responsible for bringing groundbreaking wireless connectivity to the world. On this team, you'll help improve the performance of our products through innovative system-on-chip designs. You and your team will build platform architecture that paves the way for all-new experiences, including the ones that allow people to take advantage of our innovations. Together, our goal is to ensure nothing stands in the way of our customers' connections with their devices. Join us and help build world-renowned wireless systems that connect customers to their world like never before.

The Hardware Design Engineering role sits at the intersection of wireless silicon, and the rest of the SoCs in our products. You will be responsible for the end-to-end hardware design lifecycle of wireless subsystems - from architecture definition and schematic design through bring-up, characterization, and production validation. You will work closely with internal silicon, software, and platform teams as well as external chipset vendors to integrate wireless SoCs into Apple products. The role requires a strong foundation in digital interfaces, power distribution networks, firmware and system-level debug. You should be comfortable working in the lab, writing bare-metal firmware for hardware validation, and traveling internationally (~15%) to support build and bring-up activities.","responsibilities":"Define system interconnects and power supply architectures in collaboration with silicon and platform teams; implement in product schematics and layout

Design and validate power supply application circuits, including load step response, ripple, accuracy, and stability analysis

Bring up, characterize (performance and power), and validate new digital interfaces and protocols on pre-silicon platforms and first silicon

Develop functional test coverage in bare-metal firmware to stress-test wireless chipsets during silicon bring-up and validation

Drive root-cause analysis and debug for hardware issues surfaced by test, validation, and cross-functional teams

Collaborate with external chipset vendors on integration and verification plans

Preferred Qualifications

MSEE preferred with some years of relevant experience
