Veronica Watson joined Siemens in April 2016. She has over 20 years of experience leading complex enterprise software sales teams worldwide. Previously she was corporate vice president of Strategic Partnerships at Cadence Design Systems. Her tenure at Cadence over a decade included corporate VP positions in North American Sales, Asia Pacific Field Operations, Global Accounts and Worldwide Verification Sales.
Prior to Cadence, Veronica held international sales management positions at Verisity, Axis Systems, and Avant! She began her career in electronic design automation at Meta-Software, and prior to that worked at Procter & Gamble. She holds a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Northwestern University.
Sarala is a Senior Engineering Director for Siemens EDA's Calibre products, and has been with the company for over 4 years. She is responsible for leading R&D for Calibre’s Parasitic Extraction product offering, Quality Assurance and Product Release for all of Calibre as well as Calibre’s High Performance Compute infrastructure. Previously at IBM she worked in IBM's Electronics Design Automation organization followed by managing Linux development and Big Data solutions.
Outside of her official role, Sarala champions diversity initiatives and has help launch and support employee resource groups. She is also a member of the STEM Advisory committee for the Pacific North West chapter of Girls Inc., and a mentor with PDX Women in Tech.
When joining Siemens EDA, Sarala was pleasantly surprised to see the transparency that exists across management hierarchies. Everyone’s perspective is given due consideration and employees are passionate about the success of the business.
Sarala's advice to others driving their careers? "Know your stuff! Especially early in your career. Investing in building a strong foundation in your area of expertise is very important. Not only does it give you confidence to take on challenges, it earns the respect of your colleagues. Indeed, knowledge is power." She adds, "know that you are your best advocate. Make sure your management chain and influential peers surrounding you understand your aspirations."
Mia Fujii is the License Compliance Director for the Americas Zone at Siemens Digital Industries Software. She began her path in engineering at the University of California Irvine where she studied Electrical Engineering. Mia went on to hold technical sales positions at Control Data Corporation, Harris EDA, and Rand Technologies before coming to Siemens, where she has stayed for the past twenty-four years. Mia grew her career in sales and sales management by leading roles in business development, services, and training. She is the recipient of multiple Sales Golden Eagle 100% Quota Achievement awards, the CEO Top Geo Award, the Pick a Fight award, several Diversity Global Recognition awards, and the Women of Color Technology Star award. From her experience paving the way as a female leader in a technical industry, Mia published her book, Ladies…Make It Your Time Now!. Apart from writing, her hobbies include reading, sports action photography, and baking.
